When I think about Grace Hill, I think of all the times she has lived her name. I remember one time specifically when there was a huge rain storm. Being in a much older building we often have leaks…. we get one fixed and another starts in some other low point. One particular memory I have was after a long day and a long week…. we had a torrential downpour and our back hallway roofline was literally pouring water down the walls busting ceiling tiles and flooding the whole area. Frantically, I was rushing to get bins to collect the water and towels to soak up the water that just wouldn’t stop. Tears were beginning to form in my eyes when Grace walked back and found me fighting the losing battle, she instantly offered to help. Like the rock star she is, she helped me tackle the big job of cleaning up the mess. We laughed as ceiling tile chunks plopped on our heads and worked together until it was all clean. I will always feel such gratitude for her quick readiness to rush into the chaos and extend grace & kindness to me. -Renee’
